We are a crazy, fun loving, adventurous couple who isn't afraid to let our hair down (or in Justin's case, shave it off). I am excited to start this blog so we can open up the world of the Risinger home to you all. Yes, I am going to be the typical blogger and try to include posts of favorite recipes, crafts, some of my many projects and a little bit of nothing here and there. Once the arrival of our long awaited baby boy happens I am sure there will be many posts about him. Here is his first picture we are so in love with:
His name is Roman DeMeyer Risinger. Interesting middle name you say? Well, it is Justin's PePaw's (his grandpa) last name. We are so proud to be able to carry on his name for him. He passed away last Christmas after battling colon cancer on and off for 10 years. We wish he could be here to meet our sweet baby boy. But, we know he is with his Father now and we will see him again some day. Now to introduce you to our first children:
This is Rascal and he is a siamese mix. He is our oldest child being almost 16 years old now. I have had him since he was 8 weeks old. When Justin and I were first starting to hang out Rascal warmed up to him quickly (which didn't happen often) and that's how I knew Justin was here for the long haul.
This is Shadow and she was a reverse brindle boxer. She was our first dog we got together and we had her for a little over a year. We adopted her from a boxer rescue in Richfield for Justin's birthday in 2007. She had been severely abused and neglected and needed a good home. We were able to give it to her until we discovered she had brain tumors. Unfortunately we had to put her down in the summer of 2008. It was one of the hardest things we have ever done and we miss her greatly. The boxer rescue guarantees their dogs so they gave us a 6 month old female brindle boxer for free. Introducing our Gracie girl:
This is our little lovebug Grace. She is considered an extreme runt weighing in at only 35 lbs. compared to the typical 50-60 that boxers usually are. She loves her daddy more than anything and lights up when he walks in the door. She is always full of energy and ready to play on command. She is the sweetest, most kind hearted loving dog I have ever met. We are blessed to have her in our family and we can't wait to see how she is with her little buddy Roman.
And last but not least......... our spoiled brat Aida. She is a chihuahua and weighs in at 8 1/2 lbs. She is definitely a mommies girl and likes to show it. I think growing up with Shadow and now Grace has made her think she is a big dog. She will wrestle, bite, charge and play with the big dogs like she is one. She makes us laugh and is good for a cuddle when needed.
Here are some pictures to show off our girl's personalities.
I hope you enjoyed our first post, I know I did!

Oh this made me tear up. I love it. Can't wait to see more. Oh and Roman will dominate this blog here shortly. I can't remember blogging about anything else now that Elijah is here.
